Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to re-issue the passport to the petitioner by considering the application No.MA1071689682118 dated 03.12.2018 and the representation of the petitioner dated 15.01.2019 in the light of the judgment of this Hon'ble Court in Ashok Muthana Vs. The Regional Passport Officer reported in 2015 (3) CTC 137 within a time frame.

3. The petitioner seeks for Mandamus directing the respondent herein to re-issue the Passport to him, by considering his application dated 03.12.2018, followed by the representation dated 15.01.2019.
4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said request has not been considered by the respondent so far.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the application dated 03.12.2018 and the representation dated 15.01.2019 of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
