The matter is placed before this Court based on the letter dated 05.02.2024 received from the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagiri, seeking extension of time to complete the proceedings in Special C.C.No.1 of 2022 on the file of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Krishnagiri.

2. It is seen that this Court, while disposing the criminal original petition in Crl.O.P.No.3596 of 2023 on 26.06.2023 had directed the learned Magistrate, to complete the trial in Special C.C.No.1 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of a copy of that order. However, now the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagiri, had sent a letter in Dis No.107/2024 dated 05.02.2024 seeking further time to complete the trial in Special C.C.No.1 of 2022 stating that the trial has been commenced, PW1 to PW10 have been examined and Ex.P1 to Ex.P29 were marked and now, the case is pending for further examination of LW8 and LW12 to LW16. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

3. Considering the reasons and the request made by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagiri, this Court feels it appropriate to extend the time by six months.

4. Accordingly, the time for disposing the case in Special C.C.No.1 of 2022 on the file of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagiri, is further extended by six months from today.
