This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to register a First Information Report in compliance with the order passed by the learned District Munsif-cumJudicial Magistrate, Omalur, in Crl.M.P.No.423 of 2025, dated 05.12.2025. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the learned District Munsif-cumJudicial Magistrate, Omalur, vide order dated 05.12.2025, directed the second respondent police to examine the petitioner's complaint along with the documents produced and to register an FIR without delay, if the allegations disclose a prima facie cognizable offence. He further submitted that pursuant to the said order, the second respondent police enquired into the complaint of the petitioner along with the documents produced and that 2/4
upon finding that no case was made out for registering an FIR, has filed a report to that effect before the Magistrate concerned. 3.
Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the report in the manner known to law, if so advised.
