ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order of suspension dated 30.08.2023 on the file of the respondent.

2. The petitioner was appointed as Scale I Officer in the respondent Bank on 11.09.2017. Thereafter, he was promoted as Scale II Manager and presently employed at Canara Bank, SME, Puducherry. While being so, he was placed under suspension by order dated 30.08.2023 on the ground that disciplinary proceedings were contemplated against the petitioner for the allegation of misconduct. Further alleged that he circulated a message in Social Media viz., ''Whatsapp''. In pursuant to the said allegation, now the petitioner was served with charge memo for disciplinary proceedings. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representation to revoke the suspension on the ground of prolonged suspension. After serving charge memo, enquiry is to be conducted.

3. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation on merits in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
