This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.18 of 2016 on the file of B1 North Beach Police Station, Chennai.

2. When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner and the second respondent are personally present before this Court and they are identified by the Investigating Officer.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the second respondent and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending the dispute as per the FIR No.18/2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police, B-1 North Beach Police Station, Chennai, the de facto complainant and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue among themselves and to that effect, they entered into a joint memo of compromise dated 22.09.2017, wherein the de facto complainant has stated that he has no objection if the FIR No.18/2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police, B-1 North Beach Police Station, Chennai, is quashed.

5. Recording the joint memo of compromise dated 22.09.2017, FIR No.18/2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police, B-1 North Beach Police

Station, Chennai, is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
