Prayer in WP.No.28122 of 2017:Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to furnish the report which allegedly found him not suitable for the post of Director Public Libraries in the interview conducted on 14.7.2017 by considering his representation dated 25.10.2017 within a reasonable period as prescribed by this Honourable court award costs.

JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the appellant and Mr.P.S.Sivashanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
2. The writ appeal is filed challenging the order passed by the learned Single Judge dismissing the writ petition which sought for a mandamus to the first respondent to furnish a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
report on an interview attended by the petitioner.
3. It appears that the appellant/writ petitioner, who is working as Selection Grade Librarian in Dr.Ambedkar Government Arts College (Autonomous) Chennai, pursuant to a notification issued by the second respondent for the post of Director of Public Libraries, having applied for the same, attended an interview on 14.7.2017 alongwith two others, however, finding that he was not selected though he had done well in the interview, is said to have made a representation dated 25.10.2017 and filed the writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to furnish the report on his non-selection to the post of Director of Public Libraries.
4. It appears that the learned Single Judge dismissed the writ petition on the ground that the petitioner has not produced any proof for sending the representation dated 25.10.2017 and further he had to approach only the Public Information Officer.
5. However, we find that there is an endorsement for sending the representation of the petitioner, at page 40 of the typed set of papers. Be that as it may, now, the appellant/writ petitioner is permitted to move the first respondent once again by producing a copy of the representation alongwith such endorsement within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment and in such event, the first respondent shall do the needful by furnishing the report sought for by the appellant/writ petitioner, within a period of one month thereafter.
The writ appeal is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
