PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the entire records, relating to petitioners son detention under Tamilnadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order, dated 24.12.2024 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings No.1279/BCDFGISSSV/2024 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the said petitioner's son namely Prasanna kumar, aged 25 years, son of Vijayan, before this court and set him at liberty, now petitioner's son detained at Central prison, Puzhal, Chennai-600 066.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.523, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 03.02.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
