ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 26.02.2016 and file the final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 26.02.2016, petition enquiry was conducted in CSR No.36 of 2016 and the same has been perfunctorily closed. On a reading of the closure report, it does not inspire the confidence of this Court.

4.Under such circumstances, the second respondent is directed to conduct thorough enquiry afresh in CSR No.36 of 2016 and during the course of enquiry, if any congnizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, following the decision laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttarpradesh & Others https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1, otherwise the petition may be closed under the intimation to the petitioner. With the above direction, the criminal original petition is closed.
