Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the 4th respondent in circular No.618-2019-BC-HRD-123-HRMD dated 06.12.2019, and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the 4th respondent to issue a fresh notification with referral to the promotion process with vacancies and pass such further orders.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 07.11.2024, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and the matter was directed to be listed under the caption 'For Orders' on 12.11.2024. Again, on 12.11.2024, 2/4

there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Registry was directed to list the matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 14.11.2024.

2. Even today, 14.11.2024, when the matter was taken up for hearing at 11.30 a.m., none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. It is made clear and evident that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the case.

3. Since there is no representation for the petitioner, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution. In the result, the writ petition stands dismissed for NonProsecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
