2. This writ petition has been filed, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue an Appointment Order, to the petitioner based on the interview conducted on 21.7.2014, and 28.7.2014, for the post of, 'Junior Training Officer'.
3. The petitioner has stated that he had applied for the post of 'Junior Training Officer'. Based on the call letter issued for the selection of the candidates, for the said post,
the petitioner had attended the interview on 21.7.2014. However, the petitioner had not been issued with an appointment order, even though he is fully qualified for the said post.
4. In such circumstances, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, before this Court, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
5. In the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents, it has been stated that the petitioner had taken part in the interview, before the Selection Committee, on 21.7.2014, under Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiar) General Non priority quota, for Welder trade and his performance in the practical skill/teaching ability, as well as in the interview was not upto the mark and therefore, he has not been selected.
6. It has been further stated that during the selection process, held on 28.7.2014, under SC General Priority (intercaste marriage) quota, one Geetha Rani was selected for the post of 'Junior Training Officer' for Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade. In such circumstances, the petitioner cannot claim that he should have been selected and appointed as 'Junior Training Officer', as prayed for by him, in the present writ petition.
7. It is also made clear, in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents, that, even though the petitioner had been sponsored by the Employment Exchange, the Selection Committee, constituted for the purpose of selecting the candidates, for the post of 'Junior Training Officer', had not selected the petitioner, as he did not possess the necessary practical skill/teaching ability, as required for the said post.
8. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels, appearing on behalf of the parties concerned and on a perusal of the averments made in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents, this Court does not find any cause or reason, to grant the relief, as prayed for by the petitioner. In such circumstances, this Court does not find any merit in the claim made by the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected M.Ps. are also dismissed.
