ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to direct the respondent police to trace out the offending unknown vehicle and to initiate suitable action against the offender driver as stated in the Complaint in Crime No.200 of 2018 dated 21.08.2018 on the file of the Inspector of Police, K4, Traffic Investigation Wing West, Anna Nagar, Chennai - 40.
2. The petitioner herein is the father of the deceased S.Muthuraj and he submits that his son S.Muthuraj (deceased) while returning to home from his office by motor cycle bearing Registration No.TN-32-AJ-9823, an unknown vehicle hit against him and went away without stopping. given a complaint to the respondent police and the respondent has also registered a case in Crime No.200/2018 dated 21.08.2018, but, till now, no steps have been taken by the respondent to trace out the unknown vehicle, and therefore, the petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition seeking for a direction to the respondent police to trace out the said unknown vehicle.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to trace out the offending unknown vehicle involved in Crime No.200/2018 dated 21.08.2018 and complete the enquiry and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
