Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 3rd respondent to issue Patta in favour of the petitioner his property situated at Thirukkazhukkundram Taluk, Kazhaniappakkam Village Old S.No.29/1B1A, New S.No.520/6 measuring about an extent of 7995 sq.feet, east to west 260 feet's north to south 30 feet's and 9 inches, bounded on east by lake channel, west by big street, north by Shanmuga Sundaram House, south by S.V.Shanmugam family house as per the petitioner representation dated 24.01.2018.

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 24.01.2018, wherein and whereby, he sought for issuance of Patta in his favour in respect of the property situated at Thirukkazhukkundram Taluk, Kazhanippakkam Village Old S.No.29/1B1A, New S.No.520/6 measuring about an extent of 7995 sq.feet.
3. Heard both sides.
4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said request has not been considered by the respondents so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the third respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.01.2018 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
