O R D E R

The appointment of the 3rd respondent as Anganwadi Worker at Karasanur Anganwadi, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The petitioner participated in the process of selection and appointment to the post of Anganwadi Worker. The petitioner states that she had submitted all the relevant documents and performed well in the interview. The petitioner states that she is residing in the same amlet and as per the Government order in G.O.Ms.No.110 dated 14.05.2012, the petitioner must be selected and appointed. Contrarily, the 3rd respondent, who is residing nearby hamlet was appointed and thus, the order of appointment is to be set aside.

3. The learned counsel for the 3rd respondent states that the 3rd respondent is senior in age than the writ petitioner and more so, scored higher marks and thus, there is no infirmity in respect of the appointment of the 3rd respondents as Anganwadi Worker.

4. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 furnished a copy of the marks statement and the assessment made by the Interview Committee. As per the records, the petitioner SmtA.Ramani scored 13 marks in the interview. However, the 3rd respondent Smt.Chandralekha scored 24 marks and therefore, she was selected and appointed. The petitioner could not able to establish any acceptable grounds for the purpose of interfering with the appointment of the 3rd respondent as Anganwadi Worker.

5. Thus, the Writ Petition is devoid of merits and stands dismissed. No costs.
