ORDER

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the 1st respondent herein to consider his representation dated 22.06.2018.

2. According to the petitioner, property tax assessment in respect of the properties in Door No.3, Cathedral Road, Chennai stands in the name of the 2nd respondent, and the petitioner is also having equal right over in the said property. In the said circumstances, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 22.06.2018 to the 1st respondent to cancel the property tax assessment in the name of the 2nd respondent and to restore the tax assessment order in the original owner namely one Mr.Subbiah Pillai. Since no order has been passed by the 1st respondent, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition before this Court to consider his representation.

3. Heard Mr.N.Pragasam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.C.Selvasekaran, learned standing counsel appearing for the 1st respondent and Mr.L.S.M.Hasan Fizal, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.

4. In the light of the above submissions and the prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.06.2018 and pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after giving opportunity to the petitioner as well as the 2nd respondent preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
