The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to forbear the 1st to 4th respondents from permitting or allowing any other persons other than Scheduled Caste from acting as President of Vellavedu Panchayat, Poonamallee Taluk, Thiruvallur District.

2. When the matter is taken up for consideration, it is submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 4 that the prayer sought for in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication, since the post of Panchayat President is no more in existence.

3. Recording the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent Nos.1 to 4, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
