Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to re-evaluate the answer papers of the petitioner in the subject, namely, Power Electronics (Course Code 11EE 603) of the sixth Semester of the petitioner by any Examiner/Professor of Anna University, and consequently declare the result of the petitioner's result in the subject so as to enable the petitioner to get degree in B.E.(E.E.E). from the Anna University.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to re-evaluate the answer papers of the petitioner in the subject, namely, Power Electronics (Course

Code 11EE 603) of the sixth Semester of the petitioner by any Examiner/Professor of Anna University, and consequently declare the result of the petitioner's result in the subject so as to enable the petitioner to get degree in B.E.(E.E.E.) from the Anna University.

2.Pursuant to the order dated 26.04.2018, re-evaluation was directed to be done in respect of the paper in Power Electronics and the re-evaluation was ordered to be kept in a sealed cover and be produced before this Court. Accordingly, reevaluation was done and the petitioner secured 7 out of 100 and the re-evaluation details have been submitted in a sealed cover. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that before re-evaluation, the petitioner has secured 27 out of 100. The answer sheet that is kept in the sealed cover, is opened today (08.06.2018) in the open Court and it has been handed over to the learned counsel for the University. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that for re-evaluation, the petitioner has paid necessary fees. Thus, nothing further survives for consideration in this Writ Petition.

At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that even though, the petitioner has made an attempt to appear for the examination in May 2018, on account of the pendency of this Writ Petition and that the re-evaluation was ordered, the respondent did not permit the petitioner to take up the examination in May 2018.

4. This Court cannot give any opinion in that regard. If the petitioner has got any other attempt permissible under the guidelines / regulations, it is open for the petitioner to apply and appear for the examination.

5. With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed. No costs.
