This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the third respondent to examine the representation dated 20.12.2024 given by the petitioner herein and to pass orders.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, it has been stated that the petitioner had been working under the third respondent and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.11.2016. It is contended that he is eligible to be granted the benefits of 7th Pay Commission's recommendations which came into effect on and from 01.01.2016.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents, stated that the eligibility of the petitioner will have to be examined in light of the recommendations of the 5th and 6th Pay Commissions and the entire issue will have to be reconciled. 2/4

4.The respondents shall examine the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Writ Petition stands disposed of.
