ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 365 and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.317 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 18.04.2020 at about 11 am at the instance of the petitioner, the other accused persons involved in this case, had kidnapped the victim, who is the grandson of the defacto complainant and threatened him with dire consequences and thereby, the respondent police registered a case agaisnt the petitioner. It is further stated that the incident involved in this case is a sequel to the double murder case in Cr.No.346 of 2020 on the file of the Panruti Police Station.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case and the victim has been rescued and hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the offences alleged against the petitioner are serious in nature and there are three previous cases pending against this petitioner. Therefore, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the gravity of offence and there are several previous cases pending against the petitioner and there is no change of circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
