ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to investigate the case and file a final report in FIR No.337/CH2/2015 pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband T.Sudalai died in a road accident, that took place on 11.06.2015 due to rash and negligent driving of the driver of a Swift Car bearing Regn. No.TN-09-BC 2721. Pursuant to the same, the respondent police has registered a case against the driver of the said Car on 11.06.2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 279 and 304(A) IPC. However, till date, no investigation was conducted and no final report was filed. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor taking notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.337/CH2/2015 pending on his file, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
