Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2019 insofar as conducting Kumbabishegam in Arulmigu Sree Aatcheeswarar Swamy Temple, Acharapakkam, Maduranthagam Taluk, Kancheepuram District to be held on 10.02.2019 as per traditions and its practice.

Mr.M.Maharaja Special Government Pleader O R D E R Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2019 insofar as conducting Kumbabishegam in Arulmigu

Sree Aatcheeswarar Swamy Temple, Acharapakkam, Maduranthagam Taluk, Kancheepuram District to be held on 10.02.2019.

The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that during the Kumbabishegam Festival, there is a proposal to take the deity on procession to the nearby village called Perumber Kandigai, which is not in practice for all these years. Therefore, the petitioner seeks for confining the procession of deity within four madaveethis.

The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submitted that the respondents have already taken a decision not to take the deity for procession to Perumber Kandigai Village as opposed by the petitioner and other villagers and that the procession will be confined only to four Madaveethis of Acharapakkam Village. He has also produced a proceeding dated 04.02.2019 issued by the third respondent indicating to that effect.

5. Recording the above said submission, this writ petition is disposed of, as no further order is necessary in view of the stand taken by the respondents as stated supra.
