Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of declaration to declare the date of restraint imposed in Rule 4(1) of the Medical Council of India Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997 as "31st December" and sequential clause "on or before 31st December, 2018" specified in the admission notice and prospectus for the year of 2018-19 by the third respondent as null and void and unconstitutional and to account the same as the last working day of the academic year of admission to the MBBS course of the relevant year as far as the students seeking admission from State of Tamilnadu are concerned and consequently direct the third respondent to permit the students completing the age of 17 in between 1st January, 2019 to 31st May, 2018 or the last working day of academic year 2018-19 to get enrolled and appear for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (Session 2018-19). (Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner sought a direction that the students completing the age of 17 in between 1st January, 2019 and 31st May, 2019 or the last working day of academic year 2018-19 be permitted for seeking admission to MBBS Course,
2. With the passage of time, the relief claimed would not survive.
