Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent, the Inspector of Police, E-4 Kattur Police Station, to provide police protection to enable the petitioner to harvest the paddy cultivation on the petitioner's lands in survey number.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the third respondent, viz., the Inspector of Police, E-4 Kattur Police Station, to provide police protection to enable the petitioner to harvest the paddy cultivation on the petitioner's agricultural lands comprised in Survey Nos.18/1, 18/2 & 21/2 situated at Velur Village and the lands comprised in Survey Nos.5/1, 5/2, 5/3, 7/2, 8/6, 8/6A, 9, 10/1 situated at Voyalur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the fourth respondent, and pass appropriate orders in order to harvest his paddy cultivation from his

agricultural lands comprised in Survey Nos.18/1, 18/2 & 21/2 situated at Velur Village and the lands comprised in Survey Nos.5/1, 5/2, 5/3, 7/2, 8/6, 8/6A, 9, 10/1 situated at Voyalur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District, within a period of one week from today.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
