ORDER

(The Case has been heard through Video Conference) This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in Crl.O.P.No.21028 of 2019 dated 05.08.2019.

Cont.P.No.664 of 2021 2.This Court by its order dated 05.08.2019 directed the respondent police either to file a final report or a closure report as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of the order. However, due to the pandemic situation, they were not able to file the report.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that due to pandemic situation, the closure report has not been filed within the time fixed by this Court. The final report filed on 06.08.2019 before the concerned Court. However, the said report was not taken on file since the post of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thiruvallur is lying vacant. 4.Recording the same, this Contempt Petition is Closed. However, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) agreed to instruct the law enforcing agency to take earnest steps to get the final report numbered as early as possible.
