ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.412 of 2016 pending investigation on the file of the 1st respondent. The FIR has been registered for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 341, 285, 448, 294(b) and 506 (i) IPC. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents Police.

3.The FIR was registered in the year 2016 and all the offences are punishable below three years. Till today the final report has not been filed. Hence taking cognizance is barred under Section 468 of Cr.P.C. No useful purpose will be served in keeping the First Information Report pending at this stage. 4.In view of the above, FIR in Crime No.412 of 2016, pending investigation on the file of the 1st respondent police is quashed.
