O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition to call for the entire records in Cr.No.1450 of 2017, on the file of the 1st respondent Police Station and quash the same.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was implicated for the offence under Section 65 IPC, on the ground that the alleged stolen articles were recovered from the petitioner. For which, the law enforcing agency registered the impugned case in Cr.No.1450 of 2017 against the petitioner. Challenging the same, the present petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the property in question belongs to the petitioner and he also preferred a petition before the Trial Court under Section 45 Cr.P.C. for return of the jewellery and therefore, this Court may permit the petitioner to produce relevant documents to prove his innocence before the law enforcing agency.

In view of the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, issues a direction to the respondent Police to conclude the enquiry in Cr.No.1450 of 2017, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the petitioner shall produce the materials available with them to prove his innocence at the time of enquiry.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above observations.
