delayed payment in the light of the judgement passed by this Honble court on 23.10.2024 in W.P. No. 30766 of 2024 within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Honble court.
In both W.P.s For Petitioner : Mr.N. Ishak For Respondents : Ms.S. Pavithra COMMON ORDER Ms.S. Pavithra, learned counsel takes notice for respondents. With the consent of both the parties, these writ petitions are taken up for final idsposal today at the stage of admission itself.

These writ petitions have been filed to direct the respondents to pay interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits viz., Provident Fund, Gratuity and Leave salary at the rate of 6 percent per annum for 16 months of delayed payment in the light of the judgment passed by this Court on 23.10.2024 in W.P. No.30766 of 2024, due to the respective petitioners, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
3. It is the case of the petitioners that they joined the services of the respondent Corporation and retired from service on superannuation on 31.05.2024 and 31.07.2024 respectively. It is the contention of the petitioners that the terminal benefits were settled to them, belatedly. Hence, they submitted representations on 09.01.2026 to the respondents seeking payment of interest 2/4
for the delayed payment of the benefits, as stated supra. Hence, this writ petition.
4. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the limited request made by the petitioners with regard to interest on the belated payment of terminal benefits, this Court directs the respondent to pay interest @ 6% for the belated payment of terminal benefits, by considering their representations dated 09.01.2026, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of terminal benefits of the petitioners, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
