The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 324, 323 and 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act, in Crime No.246 of 2006 on the file of the second respondent Police, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Cuddalore District to consider his bail application on the same day on merits.

2.Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents.

3.Heard both sides.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Cuddalore District, is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

his bail application on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and to pass suitable orders, in the event of the petitioner surrendering before the said court within 15 days from today and filing of petition seeking bail. 5.This petition is ordered accordingly.
