Learned counsel for the petitioner has given a letter to the Registry dated 05.02.2024, seeking permission of this Court to withdraw the present writ petition, and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

2. In compliance with this Court order dated 18.01.2024, Thiru.S.Ayyasamy, Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, XIII Battalion, Poonamallee, Chennai, is present before this Court, and his appearance is dispensed with.

3. In view of the letter coupled with the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
