Mr.Akhil Akbar Ali, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to grant permission to quarry Gravel/earth in S.F.No.194 in Amoor Village, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District, based on his application dated 22.01.2014. 3.The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the application of the petitioner seeking permission to quarry Gravel/earth has to be forwarded to the Special Committee constituted under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Mining and Mineral Concession Rules, 1959 and therefore, the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
application will be duly forwarded to such Committee within the time stipulated by this Court, in view of the fact that the petitioner's application has to be considered and decided only by such Committee constituted under the above said rules. 4.It is for the first respondent/District Collector to forward the application of the petitioner dated 22.01.2014, to the said Committee, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the same shall be considered and decided by such Committee, on its own merits and in accordance with law. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
