These writ petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to register the Ashok Leyland ALPSV4/255 Bus Chassis with Engine Nos. / Chassis Nos. viz., MB1PBEFD0HAEG4385/ HEHZ409313, MB1PBEFDXHAEG3518/ HFEZ406403, MB1PBEFD9HAEG4384/ HEHZ409939, MB1PBEFD9HAEG3302/ HFEZ404723, MB1PBEFD7HAEG4383/

HEHZ409687 respectively that were purchased on 31.03.2017 and sought to be registered after 01.04.2017, by taking into consideration the exemption granted by the Honourable Supreme Court of India in the judgment dated 29.03.2017 in M.C.Mehta Vs. Union of India & Others. For Petitioner : Mr.D.Shivakumaran in all WPs For Respondents: Mr.Dhanjayan, Special Government Pleader in All WPs.

COMMON ORDER Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that after filing these writ petitions, the Principal Secretary/Transport Commissioner, Chepauk, Chennai-5, has issued a Circular No.38/2017 dated 28.04.2017 to all the Zonal Officers, Regional Transport Officers and Motor Vehicle Inspectors in Tamil Nadu and therefore, the petitioner will work out their remedy before the concerned Regional Transport Officer. Hence, he prayed for closing the writ petitions as no further orders are necessary in these writ petitions. Accordingly, the writ petitions are closed by recording the said submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
