Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing Writ of Declaration, declaring the action of the respondents No.2 and 3 in holding 129th meeting of the Executive Council of Pondicherry University on 27.11.2017 or on any other subsequent date and taking decision on the appointments / Promotions / approval of the fact finding committee as illegal, arbitrary, contrary to law and to the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 23.10.2014 bearing F.No.19-58/2014-Desk (U) and consequently nullify all the decisions of the 129th meeting of the Executive Council Meeting of the 2nd respondent University.

Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned standing counsel would submit that no Executive Council Committee meeting was held on 27.11.2017. Moreover, new Vice-Chancellor has been appointed and he has taken charge already. Therefore, this writ petition has become infructuous.

2. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
