ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent to consider his representation dated 09.02.2017 stating transfer to Central Madras or North Madras District in the Fire and Rescue Services Department within a reasonable time.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a native of Chennai. At the time of appointment, the respondent has not considered the request of the petitioner to post him in his native place and without any basis, he was posted to serve at Salem District. Since his wife, children and his old parents are living in Chennai, he is not able to maintain two establishments. Therefore, he made a representation stating that he is willing to forego his seniority and is prepared to be placed below the approved probationers and to post him at his native place. has come forward with the present writ petition. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

Taking note of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.02.2017 on humanitarian ground and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
