ORDER

This Writ Petition has become infructuous in the light of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Union of India vs. Ashish Agarwal rendered in Civil Appeal No.3005 of 2022, wherein the Hon'ble Supreme Court has directed all notices issued under Section 148 of the Income Tax Ac, 1961 are to be treated as a Notice issued under Section 148A(b) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 as in force with effect from 01.04.2021.

2. In the light of the above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, liberty is given to the Respondent to proceed against the Petitioner in accordance with Section 148A(b) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, if such Notice has been issued to the Petitioner. No cost. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
