Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records in Letter No.E4/718/13 dated 05.04.2013 passed by the first respondent and quash the same, consequently direct the respondents to pay him pension Rs.1,000/- every month from the day on which it fall due i.e. 06.04.2004 to till the date of making payment. This writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 05.04.2013 passed by the first respondent thereby rejected the claim of the petitioner seeking monthly pension.

The petitioner was a carpenter. Due to over eye-sight, he could not continue his profession. Therefore, he applied to join in the pension scheme of the first respondent. His name was registered and he was issued identity card on 22.03.2000. He also remitted Rs.50/- per month as required by the Deputy Inspector of Labour. However, his application was rejected for monthly pension. On verifying the records, revealed that the petitioner is not entitled for pension since he has to complete membership period of five years at the time of completion of his 60 years of age. However, he joined in the scheme only on 22.03.2000. Therefore, this Court find no infirmity or illegality in the order passed by the first respondent. As such, this writ petition is devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
