Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the petitioner a sum of Rs.4500/- towards the IRT Contributions, to pay a sum of Rs.17,900/- amount payable under the family benefit fund scheme, together with interest at the rate of 12 % per annum and to pay the petitioner interest at the rate of 12 % per annum for the belated payment of Rs.6,80,400/- towards Gratuity, to pay the petitioner interest for Rs.3,72,026/- towards PF, within a specified time frame.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to pay the amount which had been contributed to IRT together with interest at 12% per annum and also interest towards the belated payment of Provident Fund, Gratuity, Earned Leave and Medical Leave Salary.
2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been stated that the petitioner had initially joined service of the 1st respondent on 15.08.1993 and had been thereafter made permanent. The petitioner had also been promoted as Special Grade Driver. Thereafter, the petitioner retired on attaining the age of superannuation. It had been stated that though the petitioner had retired from service, the Provident Fund, Gratuity, Earned Leave and Medical Leave Salary had been paid belatedly with delay of 19 months and interest had also not been paid. It had also been stated that the amounts payable under IRT contribution had also not been paid. In this
connection, the petitioner had given representation on 25.11.2024. 3.Taking all the factors into consideration, a direction is given to the respondents to examine the service records of the petitioner and examine the date of retirement of the petitioner on attaining the age of superannuation and also examine the date on which the terminal benefits were made to the petitioner. If it has been made with the delay, then the petitioner is entitled to appropriate rate of interest. The entire procedure be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
