This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the case based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner in C.S.R. No.2/2015 dated 02.01.2015 on the file of the respondent police.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3.

On a reading of the complaint dated 02.01.2015, it essentially appears to be a civil dispute, inasmuch as even according to the petitioner, he has issued a cheque to the opposite party, which, according to the petitioner, has been obtained by force. circumstances, no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to register an FIR on the complaint dated 02.01.2015.
