The petitioner/A2 in Crl. O.P.No.3384 of 2024, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.12.2023, registered for the offences under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 25,29(1) of Narcotic Drugs and Psuchotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime no.213 of 2023 on the file of the respondent seeks bail .

2.The petitioner/A1 in Crl. O.P.No.4237 of 2024, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.12.2023, registered for the offences under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 25,29(1) of Narcotic Drugs and Psuchotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime no.213 of 2023 on the file of the respondent seeks bail .

3. It is stated that A1 and A2 petitioners herein along with other accused were found in possession of 8 kgs of ganja. There is yet another accused A3 who was the mediator for purchase and sales of ganja. Ganja 1/3

has been recovered from A4 and A5, who were the sellers of the ganja and they are still absconding. A1 and A2 are driver and cleaner of the vehicle. They would have collected the ganja only from the seller. Therefore, they should know about the seller.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that a status report had not been filed as against A4 and A5. But, however it has been filed now. It is stated by the respondent that two teams have been formed and a special team has been formed to secure A4 and A5. The names of the Special Team officers had also been stated in the status report.

5. In view of the fact that A4 and A5 are still absconding, these Criminal Original petitions stands dismissed. 27.02.2024 smn 2/3
