Respondents Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.2/767/2017, dated 25.04.2017 and quash the same and further consequently direct the second respondent to delete the name of the fourth respondent and restore the name of petitioner and other legal heirs of paternal grandfather of the petitioner Thiru Palanimuthu in the 'A' register for the land in S.No.332/2 and patta No.1410 on the file of the second respondent.

ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition challenging the order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.2/767/2017, dated 25.04.2017 and to direct the second respondent to delete the name of the fourth respondent and for consequential relief.

2.According to the petitioner, his paternal grandfather Thiru Palanimuthu was the absolute owner of the agricultural land in S.Nos.247/7A, 247/7B, 247/7C and 332/2, Elambalur Village, Perambalur Taluk and District. When the petitioner and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

his legal heirs are in joint and absolute possession, he came to know that the fourth respondent, who is not at all connected to his family, has applied for modification of entry to add his name in the revenue records in respect of the land in S.No.332/2. However, the District Revenue Officer, though rejected the prayer of the fourth respondent, has observed related to the title of the properties in question Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court seeking the above prayer. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3.

4.After elaborate arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner confines the prayer to the effect that the representation dated 22.06.2016 originally given by the petitioner to the authority be disposed of. The learned Additional Government Pleader has not made serious objections for the same. Recording the said submission made by the respective counsels, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioner and any of the interested parties.
