PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to sanction the Tamil Mozhi Kavalar pension to the petitioner in view of the petitioner recent representation dated 02.09.2016 within limited timeframe.

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to sanction the Tamil Mozhi Kavalar pension to the petitioner in view of the petitioner recent representation dated 02.09.2016.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the petitioner has made a representation dated 02.09.2016 seeking to sanction the Tamil Mozhi Kavalar pension, the respondents have not considered the same so far.

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents to consider and decide the same on its own merits and in accordance with law. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.09.2016, seeking to sanction the Tamil Mozhi Kavalar pension and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
