ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent/the District Collector (Revenue) to consider the petitioner's representations dated 11.01.2019 and 04.10.2024 to redetermine the compensation awarded to the petitioner for his lands measuring an extent of 0.10.50 Ares acquired at Karasur Revenue Village in Award No.2/2008 at Rs.21,261/- per Are, in terms of enhanced compensation award passed in LAOP No.110 of 2012 on the file of II Additional District Judge, Puducherry. 2/6

3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner filed a representation on 11.01.2019 and 04.10.2024 seeking enhanced compensation. However, the said representations have not been considered so far by 2nd respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.On this being pointed out, the learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondicherry) would submit that the petitioners' representations dated 11.01.2019 and 04.10.2024 made by petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

5.In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to 2nd respondent to consider the representations dated 11.01.2019 and 04.10.2024 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, within a period of four (4) weeks from 3/6

the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representations and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representations on its own merits and in accordance with law.
