Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representations dated 21.10.2020 of the petitioner with regard to conduct the Examinations of Commercials subjects (Typewriting and Shorthand Tamil and English/Junior Grade,/ Junior Grade & Senior Grade) etc which were due to be conducted August 2020 as per G.O.Ms.No. 153 Higher Education (B1) Department dated 27.10.2020 and G.O.MS.No.237, Revenue and Disaster Management Services (DM4) Department dated 08.02.2021.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents have not conducted the examinations in commercial subjects Typewriting and Shorthand (both Tamil and English - Junior Grade & Senior grade) for the year 2020, which were used to be conducted in February and August month every year. The examination, which ought to have been conducted in August 2020 has been postponed to December 2020 and even in December 2020 also it has not been conducted, due to Covid 19 restrictions.
2. When this matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.E.Manohar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has produced the notification issued by the Director of Technical Education for the conduct of examination for these Commercial subjects with the schedule. He has also produced the notifications published in the daily newspapers i.e., Dhinamani and Indian Express.
3. Recording the same, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
