ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking to issue a direction to the second respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 10.03.2016 made to the first respondent. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. On a reading of the complaint dated 10.03.2016, it is seen that the petitioner has borrowed a sum of Rs.3 lakhs from the opposite party and it is alleged by the petitioner that the opposite party had collected six cheques as security. petitioner has not even stated the date on which the said cheques were collected by the opposite party. That apart, the opposite party has presented the cheques for clearance. Under such circumstances, since this essentially appears to be a money quarrel, no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to register an FIR.

In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedy in the manner known to law.
