ORDER

The petitioner is serving as 'Typist' at Arulmigu Bannari Mariamman Temple from the date of appointment on 12.11.92. Since then, she has been working for the past 24 years without getting any promotion to the higher post. It is the claim of the petitioner that she is having all the requisite qualification to the post of Assistant. Therefore she has made a representation on 27.1.2017 to the respondents indicating that there is a vacancy in the post of Assistant. But till date, the same has not been looked into. Hence she has been advised to come to this Court.

2. Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought eight weeks time to consider the case of the petitioner on the basis of her representation.

going to the merits, hereby directs the respondents to consider the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
