Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records comprised in General Department No.Na.Ka.E1/21598/2013 dated 21.01.2014 on the file of the second respondent and the Resolution No.86/2014, Agenda No.86 dated 24.01.2014 on the file of the third respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to promote the petitioner herein to the post of Assistant Divisional Engineer (Electrical) with effect from the date of the respective petitioner's seniority(prayer in both WPs).

ORDER

The learned counsel for the writ petitioners would fairly submit that during the pendency of the writ petitions, the respondent Corporation amended the Chennai Corporation Engineering Service Rules 1969. Thus no further adjudication needs to be undertaken on the grounds and on merits in these writ petitions. Further, it is informed that the writ petitioners are promoted.

2. In view of the above, the writ petitions stand closed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
