The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2023 in accordance with law by taking necessary legal action against the Respondents 3 to 8 and redeem the deposit amount of Rs.15 Lakhs from the Respondents 3 to 8 herein.
2. The petitioner states that his father deposited some amount as the fixed deposits in Athur Thuluva Vellalar Sangam. The Sangan is a society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975. It is not a Bank falling under the provisions of the Banking regulations. It is a society in which certain deposits are made by the father of the petitioner.
3. The learned counsel for the society would submit that the money has been received by the 3rd respondent. However, it is a dispute against a private entity regarding deposit of money and therefore, the petitioner has to approach the competent forum for the purpose of redressal of his grievances.
4. With these liberties, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 3/6
