Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal in Appeal No.V/5-36112/2020 filed against the order passed by the second respondent in his proceedings No.Mu.Mu.(A4) 3018/2020, dated 16.11.2020 in which the second respondent cancelled the petitioner's patta which was given in the year 2007 that too without giving any opportunity within a stipulated time.

ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by her, against the proceedings of the second respondent dated 16.11.2020, cancelling her patta.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3, and makes a statement on instruction that the enquiry for the purpose is scheduled to take place at 3.00 p.m., on 18.05.2021 before the District Revenue Officer, the first respondent herein. The said statement is recorded.

3. In view of the above, no further direction is required to be given, except that the District Revenue Officer, Cuddalore District / first respondent is directed to hold an enquiry after issuing notices to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his decision, and after providing the parties a fair and effective hearing and to dispose of the said representation through a speaking order within a period of twelve (12) weeks (after the conclusion of the General Election of the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly, 2021) from 18.05.2021.
