Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records relating to the petitioner's husband detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order dated 08.02.2022 on the file of second respondent herein and made in proceedings CPT No.10/2022 and quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's husband namely Kutty Rajendran @ Rajendran, S/o Elumalai, aged about 52 years before this Court and set the petitioner's

husband at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's husband detained in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.) The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in CPT No.10/2022 dated 08.02.2022 detaining her husband as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3585, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 14.06.2022 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. Consequently, Crl.M.P.No.7790 of 2022 is also closed.
