R.SUBRAMANIAN, J The petitioners seek condonation of delay of 270 days in filing the Appeal. The reason assigned is that due to their old age and financial constraints, they were unable to file the Appeal in time. They sought for legal aid and were assigned the resent counsel by the Legal Services Authority. According to the petitioners, the delay had occurred only due to the above bona fide reasons and it is not intentional. The second petitioner, aged about 79 years has sworn the affidavit filed in support of the petition, since the first petitioner is aged about 82 years.

2. Considering the age of the petitioners and the fact that they have approached the Court through legal aid, I am of the opinion that they deserve a chance to prosecute the Appeal on merits. I am also of the opinion that the petitioners have explained the delay satisfactorily. In view of the same this petition stands allowed and the delay of 270 days in filing the Appeal is condoned.

3. The Registry is directed to number the Appeal and post it for admission on 23.11.2020 if it is otherwise in order. 10.11.2020 jv
