The said representation dated 09.04.2014 states that the petitioners have been studying B.Tech (4th year) in the respondent-University and a case was filed against them in Crime No.506 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 341, 324, 427 and 506(ii) of I.P.C and they are now on bail. In view of the criminal case lodged against the petitioners, the respondent -University has suspended them and they were not allowed to sit for the examination. filed to consider their representation dated 09.04.2014 and allow them to pursue the practical examination which was scheduled on 10.04.2014.

Even on the date of admission of Writ Petition (i.e) on 16.04.2014, there was no representation for the petitioners. Again, when the matter was listed on 19.04.2017, after three years, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the matter was directed to be posted on 21.04.2017 under the caption 'for dismissal'.

Even today (25.04.2017), when the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioners, either in person or through counsel. However, even if the petitioners' case was considered on merits, nothing survives for adjudication. Hence, these Writ Petitions are dismissed. No costs.
