Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order dated 27.09.2011 under reference No.L.Dis.No.1905/A1/2011 issued by the 1st respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the 1st respondent to grant approval to the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in the 2nd respondent School with all attendant benefits with effect from 06.09.2010 and pass such further orders. 1/5

This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the impugned order dated 27.09.2011 under reference No.L.Dis.No.1905/A1/2011 passed by the 1st respondent and consequently direct the 1st respondent to grant approval to the appointment of the petitioner in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in the 2nd respondent School with all attendant benefits with effect from 06.09.2010.

2. Today, 06.03.2024, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in view of the written instruction submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader, he tried to contact his counsel, who was referred to the matter but he was unable to reach him.

3. The written instruction submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader is a copy of the letter written by the 2nd respondent School, stating that the petitioner has not been reporting to school since 29.09.2011 and at present he is working at Forest Department in Anaimalai.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

5. In the result, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
